PUTTING ON A THINKING CAP
Tuesday 12 February 2013
I don't know what has gotten into me lately but my mind had been running freely as of late, thinking about anything that comes along.
So I was thinking, if I didn't possess the energy I now have, I'd be nothing. Being sociable, crazy, happy, annoying etc, they all require all the energy I can conjure and lucky for me, I have more than enough to exude. Without it, what would I be? Would I have the same presence stamping effect on people? Would I be the same cheerful and jovial person people know me for? Would my family, my friends (more importantly the closer ones) look at me the same way they do now? I guess I have to lose it to know.
That aside, the next thing I thought about is how crazily competitive this world is becoming. We all choose a path everyone else is taking. Because no one dares to take the risk. Because that is the rule of society. Look at how a piece of paper or what we all know as a degree gets everyone into a frenzy. I'm not saying that getting a degree is a bad thing. On the contrary, it is a good thing! But that piece of paper has to be accompanied with a flame called passion, which is missing in almost everyone of us, extinguished by the competitive state of this country.
Enough thinking. Wishing my chinese friends a Happy Chinese New Year!
Conducting Officer tomorrow, Guard Commander the day after. TIL NEXT TIME!
