BEHIND THAT FACADE

JANUARY
Sunday 27 January 2013

As quickly as it came, January is coming to an end. It started off with a blast, having dinner with Phenol on New Years Day, meeting them again on a separate occasion for a karaoke session, lunched out with Qi Yun the very next day when our plan to meet an old friend was cancelled unexpectedly (or expectedly if you see it at another point of view) and going for a 5-day Workforce Training Programme course (taking it as a short getaway from camp).

It's a different story when I returned to camp 6 days ago. Everything had been topsy turvy. I'm trying to turn a blind eye, to be oblivious about what's happening in camp right now. After all, I'm leaving this lousy organisation in slightly more than 4 months. Time to focus on my aims...

Aims
  • Get a driving license by May
  • Submit my SIM application (contemplating)
  • Prepare my Curriculum Vitae (CV) to apply for jobs

Sunday 6 January 2013

It's getting nearer to the end of conscription and I'm starting to feel that same feeling before graduation from TP. In truth, it's much lesser in intensity coz I'm more emotionally attached to my poly friends as compared to those in National Service but still sad nonetheless.

Not dwelling much on that (since I still have 5 long months to go), my focus is now on what I intend to do after my ORD. My initial plan to enrol in SIM was repelled by my parents, who are adamant that I continue what I studied in poly. Honestly, I really miss science but if it's gonna kill me, I have to let it go. Besides, my two "platonic friends" advised me to do so too.

Talking about "platonic friends", I personally think it's an advantage to have one coz females are caring and compassionate beings by nature. They have the "motherly touch". HAHAH!
